WuXi Rare Disease Awareness Concert 2021

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On February 28th each year, people around the world commemorate Rare Disease Day in honor of the patients, caregivers and medical professionals who contend with these challenges or seek their cure. This year, WuXi AppTec is proud to highlight the voices and stories of these brave and determined individuals as we present the WuXi Rare Disease Awareness Concert.

Through this concert, we extend our support to the international rare disease community with featured musical performances by rare disease patients and volunteers. You will also hear from leaders representing rare disease associations and patient advocacy groups from around the world.

WuXi AppTec is committed to lowering the threshold for drug R&D – including for rare diseases – to benefit the healthcare community, doctors and, most importantly, patients. Last year, WuXi AppTec hosted a rare disease-focused webinar series, Collaborations That Transform, where we highlighted the impact of R&D, innovation and partnerships on improving patients’ lives. We are committed to keeping rare diseases a focus of attention for all since there is still much progress to be made – and we firmly believe in a future where rare diseases are no longer rarely treated.
